Joanne Marwil, Psy.D.

(she/her/hers)

Licensed Clinical Psychologist

Dr. Marwil provides a warm, supportive, empathic environment while helping her patients overcome challenges and achieve greater life satisfaction. Using a strengths-based lens and evidenced-based treatments, Dr. Marwil helps her patients gain insight into negative patterns of behavior, increase self-knowledge and improve coping abilities.

“Human suffering is an inherent part of life. When life challenges are greater than the internal skills or external support that we have, personal problems erupt.”

Dr. Marwil has over 20 years of psychotherapy experience. She has worked in high school, community mental health, and private practice settings. Her specialty is helping teens and adults struggling with mood disorders, those facing difficult life transitions and those in need of deeper emotional connection to themselves and/or others.

When she is not working, Dr. Marwil enjoys playing pickleball and tennis, practicing yoga, biking, playing with her three dogs and spending time with her family and friends.
